I really liked staying at this hotel. It is located outside of city center , but there is a bus you can take to Ost Banhoff. I liked very much the room , the food at breakfast and the service of hotel's staff. I noticed this hotel is very demanded , so it is recommended to book it in advance

It was a real pleasure to stay in this hotel. It's in a relatively quiet area with a village atmosphere but is also very well connected to Munich's excellent and efficient transport system. The hotel is clean and bright and rooms are nicely designed with balconies. The breakfast is excellent and there is a lovely shady courtyard off the breakfast area which is very welcome in in the hot weather. There are 2 very good bakeries & a large supermarket all within a stone's throw and a lovely little tree-lined stream enhances the village feel. There are also 2 good restaurants/beer gardens a few minutes walk away. The key though is the staff. It is family run and I was treated like a friend of the family. All the staff I met, including the cleaner and the breakfast organiser were extremely helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean! Modern looking rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff! Excellent breakfast. No mini fridge in room. Not located downtown, but very close to public transportation. Nice restaurants at walking distance.

When I first booked this hotel I was a little worries about the distance from the hotel to downtown Munich. This is the PERFECT location to stay! First the staff is incredible! They are VERY, VERY Helpful! When you walk in the door you are greeted with a warm smile and very organized person at the counter. Each day you will be guaranteed to be greeted with a Guten Morgen, (Good Morning) a warm smile and polite how are you today? The Breakfast is superb! GET IT! The area you will be staying in is like a small village. VERY SAFE and CLEAN! Connected to the hotel is a Italian restaurant that is to die for. I will be writing a review on this restaurant and the other three VERY close to the hotel. Just outside the door and about 100 feet is a small (family feeling) restaurant with incredible food. The other two German restaurants are maybe, a block from the front door of the hotel. About midway down the block is a bakery. Perfect for picking up a coffee and roll on the way to the train (Tram) station. The train station is about 2 VERY SAFE TO WALK blocks from the hotel. You can buy your tram tick at the station and take a 15 minute ride to the CENTER OF MUNICH! WOW, how convent! If you want to take the bus, just walk out the front door! You are at the bus stop (buss 55). The rooms are beautiful, CLEAN, the bed comfortable, and WIFI is GREAT! You will not be disappointed staying here! WALK THE AREA!

We booked two rooms here at the end of November for a very reasonable price, and they were much nicer than I was expecting. Comfy beds and pillows, a decent enough hairdryer in the bathroom, and a bottle of water provided on the first night. Peaceful enough area, and the rooms had a little balcony which would be nice in summer. We didn't book with breakfast but took the tip of a previous reviewer of going to the bakery Aumuller a two minute walk away for coffee and cake in the morning (highly recommend - good food and friendly staff who indulged my very basic German skills). There's a bus stop right outside the hotel for arrivals from the centre, and the one for going into town is opposite the bakery. We took bus 55 each day to Munchen Ost station, then hopped on the S-bahn (whole journey into/out of the centre averaged 25 minutes) and you can buy bus tickets/travelcards from machines on the bus (cash/card). We only had a couple of days in Munich but if I came back I'd happily stay at Fab Hotel again and would wander around this area more.
